  1. I believe lying is a great trait if you can follow through on a lie. It is good for certain scenarios, except most of the time you end up just getting yourself stuckin a lie, then you have to lie your way out of it.

  2. When we were little we were always taught to not lie and lying was bad. I feel the ablility to lie effortlessly is good and bad. It good when you need to tell a white lie, but it's bad because you might end up getting into big trouble and lose people's trust in you.

  3. Lying isn't always the worst thing, as long as you follow through with it, just like Luke said. But lying is bad cause people will lose trust in you, if you are caught. The truth hurts, but a lie hurts for longer.

  4. Being able to lie is an art. Lying could be good in a given situation, but is a bad habit to fall into. You don't want tp be know as a common lier, because people then can't trust you, and trust is what most friendships are based off of. Lying though is exceptional sometimes. For example, if you are awford a drug and you want to refuse it, you could make up a believable lie to get you out of it, without hurting yourself or anyone else. If you make up a lie, like Luke said, you must be able to follow up with it. Once the lie is out and every lie does, trust can be lost, and it is harder to earn trust then lose it.

  5. Lying is for the most part a bad trait. There are different kinds of lies. There are hurtful lies, and helpful ones. For example, its the difference between lying about a surprise party, and lying about your identity. When you are able to lie effortlessly people believe you, they put trust in you, and when they find out they had been deceived many problems arise. I agree with Claire when she said "the truth hurts, but a lie hurts for longer." However, I do propose an argument for the other side; lying can save your life, being able to convince people of things can be very helpful. There are certain situations most of us will never face in life where lying could actually save us. Lying is a good trait if you know how to use it, it needs to be used no abused meaning it shouldn't tell the story of your life but it should save your life if needed.

  6. Lying is mostly a bad trait, especially when you cannot follow through with the lie you are convaying. In certain situations lying could be your best option, and then in which you should go ahead and lie. If your friend got you something for your birthday and you opened it and it was something really ugly in your opinion and you knew your friend tried really hard to find you a nice gift you would lie to spare his/hers feelings. Lying is a really bad habit to keep because if you lie you your family and they find out they will lose trust in you and trust is very hard to gain back.

  7. The skill of lying is something that is a blessing and a curse. Lying can hurt, but it can also help. When you are sparing someones feelings, and you are a good liar, it comes off as genuine. But when you lie very well it can make you very fake because you don't have a tangible reality. When you lie you just work yourself into a bigger hole than the situation you are trying to get out of.

  8. The skill of lying effortlessly can be good in some cases, and bad in others. Lying can always make a person feel bad no matter what, but in some cases lying easily isn't such a bad thing. For example, if you received a gift you don't like or a friend asks if you like his/her outfit, you can say yes to spare their feelings. You should never get to the point where lying is so effortless to you, you just can say whatever you want knowing that no one will ever know what you actually think. Lying always makes situations worse, and you should never be able to just lie on demand without even thinking about it.

  9. Lying effortlessly can be both good and bad because if you're lying and it gets you something, that can be good. But, lying is bad because you're not being honest.

  10. I believe that lying effortlessly is a good an bad ability because it can help you and harm you. An example of a lie harming you is when you lie to your parents about a bad grade. This can only hurt you because they will not trust you. An example of a good lie is when you may be complimenting someone on their artwork even if you did not like what they made.

  11. I think that the ability to lie effortlessly would be good thing and a bad thing. It would be a bad thing because once you tell a lie, people won't believe anything that you tell them. This is particularly bad because if there was an emergancy people won't believe you, just like the boy who cried wolf. The abilityy to lie effortlessly would only be good when telling someone something that makes them feel good/better about themslef or their situation.

  12. I believe lying effortlessly would be a helpful trait to have in life because people would believe what you have to say. A bad thing is that if people found out about one lie you told, the might question other things you have told them in the past. Also, when you are questioned about a lie it is hard to explain your reasoning.

  13. I believe that the ability to lie well is both a skill and a burden. While it is helpful to be able to get out of a sticky situation, if the person you lie to realizes they won't trust you as readily as before. Also, when you lie you spin yourself a web and every time you lie you get more stuck in it.

  14. Lying effortlessly can be good and bad. I believe it can do more harm than good. When you begin to lie all the time people begin not to trust you, doesn't matter if its a little white lie or if its a big lie , a lie is a lie. It's almost like continuously changing your story, what is the truth behind all of it ? I think its better to tell the truth even if it will hurt than make it a lie because when that gets let out , a lot can change , and most likely for the worst.

  15. I believe the ability to lie effortlessly would be a skill that would always work out in your favor in the mean time. Something that would hurt you though is if you knew it was wrong you would have guilt and it could come back to bite you. Also people would lose trust they had for you. Telling the truth will always help you out in the long run.

  16. Lying can be both good and bad, depending on the scenario. If you are in a life or death situation, than obviously lying might be a smart idea. However, people should not always lie because than if they lie a lot than that is how they will be known as, a liar and that is not a good tag to be labeled as.

  17. Being a convincing lawyer can be both goos and bad, it all depends on what you are lying about. On one hand, you will have that ability to get away with things that could possibly get you in trouble. On the other hand, if someone finds out that you are lying to them you can lose there trust.

  18. to lie effortlessly may be a good trait to people who are phony, because after all they are trying to be something they are not. but for normal people, lying to someone many times is bad, because once they bring up the subject again, you must lie once again to cover up your previous one.

  19. I agree with Luke, although lying is bad it is a great trait to have to protect your story. It is great to be able to get yourself out of a lie when you know you would be punished if you don't lie. But it can be bad if you get caught because you will get in even more trouble then you were to start. I wish i had that trait...

  20. Yes, I feel that lying is blatantly wrong, but to tell a white lie to make someone feel better without hurting them, I believe can be alright depending on the circumstances. I agree with Luke and Lucas that it CAN BE a great trait, when you know how to control lying and not take advantage of that characteristic.

  21. I believe that lying is definitely not the right thing to do. I do agree with Julieta that telling a white lie is acceptable under certain situations. One must be careful with this trait, because it's very easy to get in trouble once caught.

  22. I do think lying is wrong but in some scenarios you might be forced to lie and so being able to lie effortless can be a good trait, its just you would need to know to not just abuse it whenever you feel like it, only when its absolutely necessary.

  23. I do believe that being able to lie effortlessly is both a good and bad thing. If you're lying to truly protect someone and not harm them, then I think it could be excusable. If you happen to be caught, though, it could unravel a chain of lies that could land you in a lot of trouble.

  24. It can be a good and bad thing to lie effortlessly because if you were ever in a situation you would be able to lie and be believable. But being able to lie effortlessly is not something a person should be proud about.

  25. Lying can be good and bad. If lying is necessary in a certain situation to protect or help something or someone then it's not as bad as lying just for the heck of it. Effortlessly lying shouldn't become a habbit because it can be bad and hurt people.

  28. Lying is never a good thing it tricks people into believing what is not true. There is a chance of getting caught then you'll never be trusted and you may get yourself in trouble later on.
